Join Matador / Loan Officer
You've been in the mortgage business long enough to know the difference between a good platform and a great one. Maybe you're frustrated with limited product options, opaque comp plans, or a management layer that takes more than it gives.
Matador Lending was built to fix all of that. As an independent broker platform — now licensed in all 50 states following our merger with Go Rascal — we give self-motivated loan officers the infrastructure, pricing power, and marketing support to run their business the way they want, and earn what they actually deserve.
Keep 100% of your originator comp minus published per-file fees. The more you produce, the more you pocket. Simple, transparent, and the same schedule for everyone on the platform.
Stop losing deals to rate. With 150+ wholesale lenders plus correspondent pricing — and Pylon, an AI-driven wholesale lender — you'll have strong options for every borrower: conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, DSCR, non-QM, and more.
Originate anywhere you're licensed. When a deal lands in a state you aren't licensed in, refer it inside the platform and keep 50% of the net payroll on that file.
No monthly software fees for your CRM. You get a full-featured CRM, a branded LO website, monthly social content, and in-house design and video support — all included. Focus on originating while we build your brand in the background.
Proven playbooks for Realtor referral partners, builder partnerships, and direct-to-consumer campaigns, plus product training and a knowledge base built by experienced originators. Newly licensed? Our mentorship program pairs you with producing LOs and still allows up to 100 bps compensation while you learn.
A company-wide sales meeting every week, dedicated office hours, and a support desk for live files. AI tools answer loan product and guideline questions in seconds, so you're never stuck waiting on an email.
We support DBAs for originators who've built a brand worth keeping, and full branch moves if you're bringing a team.
This is a production role for a self-directed originator ready to run their own book on a broker platform. You bring the relationships and the work ethic; we bring pricing, products, processing, marketing, licensing, and the systems that keep files moving.
100% commission — published per-file fee structure. You set your comp plan and keep all of it, minus fees from our published schedule: a $995 corporate admin fee on every file ($1,295 in New York), a $200 Matador branch fee on broker files, and on correspondent files a margin adjustment built into pricing — 0.375 on conventional and jumbo, 0.500 on VA, FHA, USDA and non-QM. Processing ($995) and LOA concierge ($795) are optional per file — and on correspondent files, processing can be charged to the borrower rather than netting out of your commission. The monthly tech package is $185 for 1099 and $260 for W2, billed against commission.
Newly licensed originators in the mentorship program can still earn up to 100 bps. W2 with benefits or 1099 is available depending on your state and loan programs.
How the math works. Your comp plan is set with you at onboarding and complies with all applicable loan originator compensation rules. Fees follow the Matador branch fee schedule effective September 2026 and are subject to change. Figures on this site are illustrations, not an offer of compensation. Run your own numbers on the homepage calculator.
Take control of your mortgage career. Schedule a confidential call to learn what your income and business would look like at Matador. We'll walk you through the platform, the comp model, and what other LOs at your production level are earning.
Licensed outside Texas? You can join the national platform directly rather than the Houston branch. Compare the two routes.
